Meet Our Team

  • David Brown

David Brown - Councillor, Ward 21

David is a proud resident of Ward 21, having grown up in Richmond and still living in the village today. At a young age, David joined the local 4-H club, which spurred his love of agriculture and his involvement with the Richmond Agricultural Society, where he served in a number of roles over the years.

David’s political journey began as a volunteer at the federal level. This experience made him realize the importance of serving residents at a municipal level. He has since focused his efforts on serving the ward that he calls home.

  • Sharon Reid - Community Liaison & Caseworker

Sharon loves working with people and looks forward to assisting Councillor Brown and the rest of the team in whatever we can do for the residents of Ward 21. She loves challenges and is a great problem solver.

Apart from a stint as a police officer in the RCMP, Sharon has spent most of her career in hospital procurement and on redevelopment projects. She has worked in procurement at the SMBD Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, as well as both Mount Sinai and Toronto General Hospitals in Toronto.

Due to the expertise acquired in those positions it was an easy move into healthcare redevelopment equipment planning. That led to a position working for a Canadian equipment planning company, for which the next stop was to plan a series of hospitals in Doha, Qatar, Hamad Medical City.

Sharon spent several years as a National Canadian Sales Manager working for a US company and travelled across Canada visiting distributors frequently.

She is excited to join the Ward 21 team!
