This year marks the 80th Anniversary of VE day, the end of WWII in Europe. We are pleased to have Michael Ostafichuk presenting the events surrounding VE Day celebrations and the homecoming of Canadian soldiers.

Along with a long career in the Federal Government Michael Ostafichuk joined the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserves in 1985. He is an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Stittsville Branch 618 as Branch President along with serving on the Soldiers’ Aid Commission as a commissioner.
