Preserving History of Goulbourn Through Scrapbooks

  • Hazeldean Gardens (map)

The Goulbourn Township Historical Society are warmly inviting the public to join them for a special afternoon of memories, stories, and community connection at Hazeldean Gardens on Saturday, March 21st beginning at 1:30 pm.

This unique scrapbook display will showcase treasured pieces of Goulbourn’s past, featuring family albums, milestone celebrations of local sports teams, schools, community groups, and special events. Each scrapbook offers a personal window into the everyday lives, achievements, and traditions that helped shape our community over the years.

Scrapbooks are more than photographs on a page; they capture handwritten notes, newspaper clippings, programs, ribbons, and mementos that tell the stories of generations. Whether you recognize familiar faces, places that have changed over time, or moments you remember yourself, there will be plenty to spark conversation and reflection.

We invite you to come browse the displays, share your memories, and enjoy visiting with friends and neighbours. This will be a relaxed and welcoming afternoon open to all who appreciate local history and the stories that connect us. The display will also showcase autograph books, year books, baby books and other family scrapbooks. If you have an item you would like to share, please let us know.

Mark your calendar and join us as we celebrate the rich and meaningful history of Goulbourn, one scrapbook page at a time.

We hope to see you there!
