The community is invited to the official launch of the Manotick Virtual War Memorial (MVWM). Developed over two years, the MVWM is an online registry that honours the 22 Manotick residents who lost their lives in the First World War and Second World War, matching the names on the new plaques at the Manotick Cenotaph. Each profile shares personal stories, military service records, and memorial locations to keep their memories alive. At the event, Webmaster Jim Morris will demonstrate how family members and residents can contribute photographs, letters, and documents to help the project continue to grow. Coffee, tea, and cake will be served.
