Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste at the City’s upcoming event:

Time: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (last vehicle accepted at 4:00 PM)
Location: Trail Waste Facility, 4475 Trail Road

This event is for Ottawa residents only and accepts household hazardous waste such as paint, oil, batteries, and cleaning products. Electronics will not be accepted—please visit Ottawa.ca/WasteExplorer for disposal options.

For regular drop-offs, many local retailers accept hazardous items daily. Visit the City’s Waste Explorer tool for more information.

Note:

• Stay in your vehicle at all times. Staff will unload items from your trunk.

• Containers over 20L or loads over 100L will not be accepted.

• Commercial waste is not accepted.
