Drone Seeding for Restoration

Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation and the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group (ROWHWG) for an interesting look at how modern technology is helping restore our natural landscapes. In this webinar, experts from Mohawk College and the Royal Botanical Gardens will share the results of their 2022 site restoration experiment. They used a specialized agricultural drone to reseed a hydro corridor within the Cootes Paradise Property. You will learn about the challenges of using drones in urban areas, navigating flight permits, and the trial and error involved in finding the right equipment to spread native meadow seeds.
